I'm going to be going on a plane this week. I'm only using carry on luggage so what type of makeup can I bring?
Right I can only bring eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow? I don't want get there and they have to throw out my makeup. Thank you!

All liquid needs to be 3 Oz or less, so a small concealer would be fine. Or something like that.

The only think your probably have to worry about would be foundation depending on how big the bottle is/

Ok thank you! I don't usually wear foundation regularly so I don't have to worry about that.

Aren't you suppose to put anything liquid in those sealed zip lock bag things?

If you look on the container of the makeup and it says fl oz, that stands for fluid ounces and those items must be stored in a medium sized plastic ziplock bag and must be under 3 oz.. Mascaras, liquid eyeliners, concealers, face washes, shampoos , primers, foundations, moisturizers must be under 3 onces and put in a ziplock bag, just to name some examples.

Yep, but most of those items should be under 3 oz. but just double check.

I've brought my L'Oreal True Match Foundation on the plane and it was fine. Just make sure liquids are under 3 oz. And I've never put things like that in a plastic bag before... I've never heard of that and I've never had a problem with it, I've flown many times.

All makeup can be taken on planes, the only thing I'd worry about would be something truly liquid. I've also never in my life used a plastic bag or taken liquids out, so as long as it's under 3 oz no one cares.

I'd say it depends on what airport you leave from - some are more strict than others - if it's not a plastic bag they will make you toss everything - or if you are coming to the US from an international flight they are very strict about that sort of thing so to be safe all fluids under 3 oz. and all in a sealed container - they used to make you take out your liquids at certain high security airports for screening too not sure if they still do that

Actually they do care, lol. I got a couple of products taken away at LAX once, I was fuming lol it has to be 3 ounces or less if it is any type of liquid, this includes liquid foundation, body sprays, lotions, facial cleansers, any thing pretty much. but that is only for any plane carry-ons, you can put as many liquids on your bags in your luggage that you don't take with you. I believe you are allowed 1-2 personal carry on bags

I follow the "less I take, the less I have to worry about" mantra. They are real picky about liquid products. Especially if flying out of a major hub like JFK, LAX, OHare. Its such a pain to fly these days. :(

I travel a lot and I can assure you, its always better to be safe. they follow the 3+1+1 rule. I always pack my makeups in very accessible way so that it is easier to take it out...nwy this is what I found from Google..

"3-1-1 is the name for our liquid policy. You can read?here for more details, but here is the gist of 3-1-1? Each passenger is allowed to take one clear quart-sized sealable bag and fill it with as many liquids in 3.4 oz or less sized containers that will fit, while still being able to seal the bag. Make sure you take the bag out of your carry-on prior to sending it through the X-ray, or our officers may have to search your bag.

If you have liquids, aerosols, or gels that are used for medical purposes, they do not need to adhere to our 3-1-1 policies and do not have to be placed in a bag. You may be asked to go through a TSA Family Lane (see below) so we can expedite the screening process. The liquids, gels and aerosols will need to be removed from your bags.

Answers to common questions: Stick deodorant is not limited to 3.4 oz or less, but gel or spray deodorant is. Also, any liquid makeup such as eyeliner should be placed in the baggie. That goes for perfume as well. Powder makeup is fine."""

Wow, I guess I'm just lucky. I've never, ever followed the 3-1-1 rule, or taken out my liquids, and I've never had a problem. And my hometown hub is Hartfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta, the busiest airport in the world. Of course, all of my products are under 3 oz, but that's the only rule I've ever found to be necessary.

Make sure to have your products in a 3 oz container if the bottle says 9 ounces and you only have 1 it don't matter they will make you throw it out 😫

3.4 oz bottles of liquid only and only what fits in a 1 quart ziplock bag. I would suggest leaving it in the original packaging. Unlabeled bottles can be rejected.
