I use antibacterial hand soap with extra virgin olive oil. 3 tablespoons soap and 1 of olive oil. Mix and then dip your brush into it and swirl and swipe it across your hand to loosen makeup. It works really well for mine. I find that soap alone dries out my brushes bristles vs when you add a little olive oil you are conditioning it a little bit while cleaning it too. Just make sure you use an antibacterial soap or your just cleaning the makeup off and not the bacteria.
Hope that helped.

It won't be the end of the world, but brushes will probably deteriorate faster than if used with something gentle. Look for soaps that have conditioning ingredients live oils, shea, etc. Traci's tip was awesome about adding olive oil! Good luck!

Does it like ruin the brushes?

Toner has alcohol in it so it is very drying on your bristles. Imagine if you put toner on your hair... it would be soo dry!

Clean them with antibacterial soap and oil. Try not to put to much oil cos last time I did that and had to wash my brushes like three times.
