This chart is an awesome guideline! The light is where to apply your highlight and the dark is where you apply your contour! I don't do contour normally but I love it and I am trying to get the technique down!

I do believe both if the charts are by Kevin Aucoin, who has an amazing contour powder! You can google or go on Pinterest to find contouring powders and such!

All these ladies gave excellent examples!!
Depends on what you what to enhance or create new shadows!

highlight draws attention "catching light"(cheek bones, down the bridge of nose, cupids bow, chin)

Bronzer and contouring are two different things. But are placed in the same placement. and you can add bronzer on top of contouring.
Contour diminishes or creates/enhances shadows
nose: to make nose appear more smaller, or makes bumps less define.
jawline: to pull look together, diminish double chins.
under cheekbones; to enhance cheek bones, slim down face.
Bronzer: gives warmth, "sun kissed"

Everyone doesn't contour the exact same area. Find a tutorial of someone with the same face shape as yours.

Sandra sadly it was discontinued :( I was so bummed.

When you first start contouring it's easier to start with powder. With powder you can start off little by little and you can practice what areas you want to bring out and what areas you want to diminish!

Begin with a simple inexpensive contour kit , I recommend the contour kit by City Color Cosmetics it's only $5.99 perfect for beginners then you can work your way up to the more expensive brands. I personally love city color cosmetics you get good pigmentation for the price! Once you practice more and more you can start contouring with cream/foundations which how I love to contour (it's easier for me) for some people it's different. So yea hope it helps! Sorry for the long story hahaha

Whatever you do, try really hard to stay away from glitter! Glittery contours are not flattering and it's always great to match a contour color to your skin. And remember, contouring and bronzing are not exactly the same! Contour colors are usually ashy colors that are similar to your skin tone but a lot darker. Bronzers have deep golden tones and depending on your skin tone can turn you orange! Just make sure to match it to your skin!
