Whenever I get out of the shower my hair is so hard I brush and super tangled. It's pretty healthy, haven't dyed it in over a year. I've tried all sorts of shampoos and leave in conditioners. Anyone have the same problem and have products they like?!

You need a regular conditioner.

Shower routine:

Shampoo
Rinse
Conditioner
Then do your actual shower stuff lol

Then rinse your conditioner out last

Then apply your leave in
Then comb your hair from roots to tips.

Also when you shampoo, don't shampoo your hair, just focus on your scalp.

Also while the rinse out conditioner is in your hair comb it from ends to roots.

Combing your hair while wet is not a great idea. You're combing it in a very sensitive and delicate state. Com in g wet hair will result in hair breaking and hair fall. I seldomly comb my hair because the elasticity of my hair is ridiculous. wait for it to air dry and use a wide tooth comb.

It also depends on the persons hair. My hair must be detangled while wet. Or it will break.

I agree with char, my hair will comb out nicely while wet but dry I get broken pieces constantly, and I know it's not fall out because these pieces are shorter then my actually length. Anyway what I do is I condition everyday and shampoo every second, it also helps my hair to do a mask once ever ten days. And Moroccan oil has help in the detangling process as well. My port daughters hair gets tangled sooo bad, and that's what I have to do with her is rub hair oil on the knots for a few minutes before taking the comb to her hair.

I have really curly hair and I've learned to tame it. Idk if you have straight it wavy or curly hair, but I'm pretty sure it would work for all. I use A LOOOOOOT of conditioner and make sure it's all over. I detangle it while I have my conditioner on. I pretty much finger comb it in the shower and work my way through each knott. Then once I'm done I finger comb it once more and I rinse half of my conditioner off (it's not bad, it's actually good, cause it gives moisture). And then it's easier to brush when you're outta the shower. And Gen said that it's unhealthy to brush when wet, it's actually not. It's better to brush while wet, then not to brush it at all when dry because it creates frizz, unless you have straight hair (lucky ducks cx). But everyone's different.
