Well for Japanese fashion there are a whole bunch of styles where they bring in the cuteness side to anything dark. Try looking up Dark Decora or Black Lolita. Those might help a bit in finding what you want. Trust me Japan has so many branches of fashion you're bound to find something that might be what you're looking for!!

These are no everyday looks of course but you can try to do more natural versions of them- actually "grunge", "kawaii" and "simple everyday look" are quite hard to combine lol.
