Hey everyone, am hearing lots of good things on here about lip tar, could you tell me what it is, is it a lip stain? am in the UK but thinking of looking for it on eBay.

It's wayyyyy more pigmented than a stain. It's in a category all it's on. But on the lips, it resembles a lipstick.

It's a lip gloss/stain hybrid manufactured by a company called Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. It's very smooth and creamy, and easy to apply. A little goes a very long way though, so you don't need much.

Nala is correct, it acts like a lipstick in terms of pigmentation :)

A lip tar, much like what nala said, is in a category on it's own. It's a very wet, concentrated and opaque lip product that is a cross between a lipstick, gloss and stain. It's very very very very pigmented so you literally only need a freckle sized amount Hahahah. It's very wet when you put it on but it dries to a complete matte finish. You can buy the clear one to go on under and or over it too. It is made by OCC (obsessive compulsive cosmetics) and they also come in stained glosses now too! I would recommend starting out with just one lip tar because they are definitely aren't for everyone. You typically apply it with a lip brush or smudged brush. You can find them at imats, the occ website, or honestly just sephora. Hope this helps "! 😉

Hey I've bought both lip tars and sleek pout paints and they're both amazing products only that lip tars have a wider selection! I really like grandma, anime and strumpet out of the lip tars x

I'm not sure about the sleek ones, but OCC lip tars are also vegan and don't do animal testing :)
