Is it worth the purchase?! I do love Naked 1 and 2. Should I add this to the collection!?

I tend to like Matte shadows more so I plan to check out their new palette. One can never have enough eyeshadow palettes ...hehe :)

Myshel D. - Yes, I too love matte shadows. Sometimes collecting makeup becomes addicting. lol
Lolli H. - Funny you should say that because that was the reaction to most of UD's Facebook fans. I think many feel 2 palatte's are enough. I'm torn! *sigh* lol

Anyone know when Sephora will be getting the UD Naked Basics Palette?

I havent gotten either Naked or Naked2 because i'm not a fan of browns and taupes with shimmer, but i'm definitely excited about this pallete, can't wait to pick it up!

I have all 3 , honestly I know it got great reviews and the shadows themselves are nice but the packaging feels & looks cheap and plasticy. I found I already had Foxy & WOS and the other colors are close enough to ones I already had like Buck, secret service, blackout etc. Venus is the only shade that wasn't dupable among other UD shadows just because of the finish its more satin compared to Zephyr which is more shimmery

I wanted the 1 or the 2 for the longest time but opted for the matte basics. ireally love UD but I had the 88ultra shimmer palette by coastal scents and needed a quality matte palette. also if you watch UD's video on their YouTube channel, this palette can be used as a base and if you put color eyeshadow over a smokey look created by the palette it looks really great. this is a good product for non naked palette owners or those who just need a compact quality palette for everyday use and travel. personally I'm ecstatic this is what I've been waiting for but if you don't need it or have the others this is not worth it for you. hope I helped :)

Nah, I'd rather pick out my own mattes from Inglot.

It depends on how much you really "want" it. First of all its not completely matte there is a shimmer shade. The shades are similar to ones already in the original nakeds. For me if you have the other 2 then you don't need this!

Anyone have a picture of themselves or someone else wearing the matte palette? I'd love to see it.

Kendra: go on YouTube there's a girl who did a tutorial. I think her username is xsparkage or something. if you type in Urban Decay Naked basics palette tutorial it should be there!

I'm excited to see some matte shades from UD. And down the road I might get it to keep in my makeup case. UD is my favorite eyeshadow brand so I would buy it based on that. I am quite tired of the naked hype though. I don't own either of the previous ones and don't really plan to buy either. So that could also be a reason I would get this one. It's smaller and would travel well, and could be used on future clients. I also don't have too many matte shades, I'm definitely a shimmery, glittery, sparkly junkie.

I love it! I just ordered mine. I only have the first naked and since it only has like 2 matte shades, I think this will compliment it very well and I will be able to make more looks with it ☺

It has ignited zero excitement for me. But its nice to read others enthusiasm for it. :)

I just got mine in the mail today and tried a look on. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about these mattes because they are perfect for everyday naked look. my only issue is the price. for the naked or naked2 you get a brush and primer or lipgloss with twelve eyeshadows for only $50 which if you make the brush worth about ten and the gloss or primer about seven to ten, that means each shadow is about $2.50 ish. for this matte palette it's $27 for six colors meaning each shadow is $4.50 which is considerably more. the only reason I still bought is because I honestly don't need the naked or naked 2 I needed a matte palette so yeah. but other than than, I'm truly in live with its packaging and pigments
