I mix my foundation with moisturizer :) This might make you foundation look thinner so just build it up a little! :)

A lot of things can cause cakey foundation.. make sure that you're using the right foundation for your skin type. also make sure that your foundation is compatible with any primer or powder your possibly using. you can do this by checking the ingredients list of your products. I'd you don't use a primer or set your foundation with a powder, I would start doing that asap! those two things really help prevent cakiness.
hope I could help! xx

You should moisturize good, and exfoliate.
I take my flat top brush and damp it alittle with a wet towel. or a damp beauty blender, they both help blend and buff the foundation in. also you want it to match you skin color and have the correct under tone to the foundation

Apply with a brush, set with translucent powder, and finish with a makeup setting spray! I recommend e.l.f. Makeup Mist and Set, and Urban Decay's All Nighter!
