Something that is not to colorful but don't wear black either. I think he will feel bad if he see people who wear black. Maybe jeans and some nice top in one color. Wish you good luck. I feel really sad to hear that :(

I'm sorry :( I would personally wear something modest, and relatively casual, but like you said, nothing too 'fun'... Here are some options.
-Nice jeans, a sweater/blouse and flats
-A skater skirt, tights, a nice tee shirt, flats and a cardigan
-Jeans, a nice tee shirt, boots and a cardigan
Makeup-wise, keep it natural- maybe BB cream/foundation (depending on how much coverage you need), mascara, brows, and cheek/lip stain.

Aw :( so sorry to hear that. Hope you're doing okay. I would wear a pastel-colored blouse with black pants/leggings. I wouldn't make it too serious or it'll seem depressing. Praying for your uncle.?

I'm so sorry to hear that. Prayers and hugs. He is still alive and seeking treatment and so I'm sure what he needs us hope..positive and cheerful people around him. I would be myself...but keep my dress modest as you would normally around elders in the family. All my best to him and your family.
