Uhm... Frostbite NEEDS to be taken care of by a doctor. Home remedies just won't cut it especially if it's numb! You could probably put a hot compress on your cheek to help warm it up.

Don't put a hot compress on it. If you absolutely can't make it to a doctor you need to SLOWLY warm it up. Start with a cold cloth, to lukewarm, to warm, to hot in a matter of hours. When my mom was a kid she got frostbite all over her legs after falling into the water while ice skating and they gave her one blanket every 45 minutes, slowly adding warmth.

Ok so apparently I was wrong! If you can't go to the doc then listen to Alyx! I don't know much about this stuff but I do know that this should be handlers by a doctor.

I read frostbite and thought "it can't be like, that sortof frostbite" but if it is, definitely to to the hospital, I don't think this is something home remedies will get rid of.

That would have to be very very cold water to give you frost bite.. Are you sure it's not just dry and irritated? I'd still go to the doctor asap, but I'm not sure that you can get frostbite that way. Like the way my mom got it on her legs was after she fell into the knee deep frozen on top water, she got out and couldn't dry herself off all the way and stayed in her half wet clothing in -25C weather for 3-5 hours before she realized her skin was painful and frostbiten. She was 11 so she didn't know any better sooner, but she went to the hospital.

Frostbite usually occurs on the extremities after extended exposure to dangerously low temperatures. Besides, I don't think tap water or even refrigerated water could give you frostbite after such minimal exposure.

Enough to freeze within pipes...

Yea it doesn't really sound like you have frostbite now that you say how you got it. The water would have to be super freezing to do that. It might just be irritation. However, I would still go to the doctor if possible because that sounds very painful and such but we don't know what it is sooooo that's your best bet.

Frostbite leads to necrosis and dead blood vessels - if you look at images on google for frostbite the skin turns black... So I don't think that's what you have... Although it could be a chemical burn... That's kind of what it sounds like... Also the water would have to be at a temp below freezing to cause frostbite... Which is impossible unless it was ice or you washed your face with liquid nitrogen... Then you might get frostbite..

You would have to wash your face with dry ice to get frost bite that quickly lol.. Get a hot rag and lay it over your face, and put some aloe Vera over it.
