That happens with sun burns - the dead skin that the UV rays killed off are shedding - try an after sun lotion to soothe and moisturize the area - also exfoliation will help to slough off the dead skin cells

Its a sunburn they can hurt. keep moisturizing often. don't use a wash cloth, let it peel on its own any type of exfoliating will hurt her more at this point because it raw. make sure she has an spf when she goes outside

Aloe vera gel works really well for sun burns! My brother bunt super super bad once, he couldn't even lay down it was that bad but my mom got him aloe vera and it really helped soothe it!

She's so young and little kids are VERY resilient with this kind of stuff! Her skin should be fine! Just use an after sun lotion or some aloe Vera. This should soothe the area so she doesn't hurt as much. Don't exfoliate since like Diana said the skin is raw and that will irritate it more. Keep the area moisturized and it should be fine in a few more days!

It's totally normal for sunburns to peel! A little peeling on her nose is nothing to worry about, I promise (coming from a girl who gets nothing but sunburnt lol, no tans for me). Aloe Vera gel is what I always use. It helps the burn heal and it feels cool so it should soothe any pain she's having. Hope this helps!

Aloe vera is nice and soothing for sunburns, but if you want something thicker, like jacqlyn said, aquaphor is great! it creates a nice barrier to retain moisture and will help that heal faster.
