I got one as a gift. I would not purchase with my own money that's how horrible it is. It's hard to hold/use & left me with burns every time I used it.

I got the Instyler when it first came out and I love it, however my friend borrowed it and hated how it affected her hair. My suggestion is that if you can, try it out before buying; just like anything else.

If you have really thick hair, like I do, I wouldn't recommend it because I have to straight my hair to make it work. It's nice but I don't love it.

I used to use one, and I actually liked it! I didn't take care of it and broke it while travelling, so I haven't used one in a while. I never used it for curls, but I liked it for straightening my hair. I feel like it gave me more of a naturally straight look with volume as opposed to an obvious straight iron look. I used to have fairly straight hair, but after over processing it, it became wavy and curly and kinda frizzy-I feel like it would work best on straighter hair or less frizzy hair since its not clamping the hair between two hot plates, but it did a good enough job of flattening my frizzies in my weird curly and wavy textured hair. I think it would be hard to get a super pin straight look with one, but I like the more "blown out" results I could achieve with the instyler!

It is terrible. I bought one and got one free and they did nothing to my hair.

I hate it! Don't buy...make your hair frizzy and doesn't curl or straighten very good at all
