Do you a scrub to exfoliate or do you use a chemical exfoliant?

A spray might help the powder or cakey effect.

A scrub! And yes I've tried using the urban decay setting spray!

Maybe you need a new foundation.

Use a chemical exfoliant, and you won't ever even have a dry patch on your face.
Scrubs do nothing for the skin technically, no where near the same level as a chemical exfoliant ( which is far more gentler than any scrub ). I've incorporated a BHA Liquid Exfoliant in my routine a couple months back, I had a similar issue which is now completely gone.
AHA's for dry, sun damaged skin and BHA for those dealing with acne as well.

Ooh Kitty, where can I get that and for how much? :)

I use Paula's Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant, it's in a liquid form. She has both AHA's and BHA's in Liquid, Gel, and lotions. She also has exfoliants with a higher percentage for a weekly re-texturizing use.
These are the most best priced and give wonderful results in my opinion, I cannot imagine using any face product with exfoliating with them. They do a good job at keeping acne at bay and pores minimized as promised. http://www.paulaschoice.com/shop/skin-care-categories/aha-and-bha-exfoliants/
Philosophy also has a great BHA lotion, Clear days ahead oil-free salicylic acid acne treatment & moisturizer. It has 1% in it, however. Olay regenerist night re-surfacing elixir with 8-10% glycolic acid (AHA).
Beautylish is giving me issues posting pictures :( I do have a before/after result posted. http://beautiebunnie.blogspot.com/2014/07/skin-care-review-paulas-choice-2-bha.html

Thanks so much kitty! I've never thought of trying a chemical exfoliant! I don't really experience breakouts just uneven skin tone and dryness so would you recommend AHA? Also I don't have particularly sensitive skin so which product do yuk think would be more effective for me? Thanks again!!

Thanks Jacqueline! I just got it in hopes it'd help foundation glide over dry patches. Is there a primer you'd recommend or do I not need one with the nars sheer glow?

Go with Kitty! She's awesome! If what she says doesn't work for you... I would recommend changing your foundation... It could just be something in that formula that doesn't agree with your skin...
