I like reds with blueish undertone. they look likr true reds and acually make your teeth look white :D I'd say try NYX rouge.

It depends on your skin tone and eye makeup I think - the only red I have found that works for me is the mightiest maraschino by Clinique - and the spiked with rum by wet n wild.

Honestly I think you just need to play around with them. I bought a bunch of drugstore lipsticks in bright colors because they were 99 cents each. And they were horrible quality but they were dark reds and purples. It let me see them on and let me get used to it without buying expensive stuff or just trying one from sephora on in the store. And then I went out and bought Mac rebel which isn't really dark but if you layer a dark lip liner under it is. Then I found melt cosmetics and ordered almost all of them because I wanted to become a lipstick person. I wear dark lipstick all the time now. You just have to find the one that gets you started. :) you could also go to sephora and get them to help you find some they think will look good, try them on and see how you feel about them. :)

Well I have Chic Red by NYX which is a bright red alone but I apply a dark-ish brown on under it lightly and it gives a wine kind of color.

I love dark lipsticks. Mac rebel is one of my faves. It is the one I am wearing in my profile pic. You have to use a nice dark lipliner before you apply it. Also Mac Diva is another one of my faves. It is a really nice dark red. Remember lip liners help bring out the color if you want it more intense.

I love Snow White by NYX, it's a blue toned satin red. I adore MUA lipsticks as they're so cheap and I can try what I like without too much of a loss:)
