Gender Hair Product Inequality??

So,
I went to the store today to pick up some hair putty stuff (lol I can't remember what it's actually called) and I found one from my favorite brand (Aussie) that was about $9. As a fluke I also went to pick up gel for my brother and on the way I though about comparing the ingredients of my putty and the putty that Axe makes for guys. I found that almost all the ingredients are the same (except those for scent) and you get about 1 ounce more product in the guys container and that product only cost $6! So, as I'm always in a tight budget (college life!) I bought the guys stuff. Does anyone else find this extremely annoying? I've noticed it with other products as well and it's beginning to annoy me! Anyone else notice this?

Yes, sometimes the extra charge is the packaging.
Us women like pretty shiny things! You can put gel in a ziplock bag and men will be okay with it, lol.

There is a video about it on upworthy.com that opened my eyes to the problem. It's all the same, but companies make more by marketing to different genders. And they trust that no one will really shop outside their genders to notice things like price and such. The marketing scheme isn't fair to anyone :/

Osis dust it powder is $20 +
Taft texturizing powder is $6.
Both are made by Schwarzkopf and both have the exact same ingredients.
The taft one has a photo of a man on it and the words rough and tough. I buy the taft powder needless to say. I agree with Em!
