I just wrote a blog post about using the color wheel to help you make your eye color stand out-- yeahanothermakeupblog.blogspot.com :)
The gist of the post is that generally, complementary colors will help your eye color stand out. So look for something directly opposite on the color wheel. Depending on your shade of blue-gray, you could do anything in the orange family, including coppers, browns, and bronzes. Like Ashley said, golden tones look great too, and silvers will bring out your gray more. Hope this helps!
