If you're a beginner, definitely start with drugstore makeup to get the feel of what you like. Then you can work your way up. Try out Maybelline, Revlon, Rimmel, and Wet n Wild has great eyeshadow. :)

Oh okay so if drugstores( walgreens , Walmart, Cosco, Fred Meyers, HEB, ect..) are near you which I'm sure there's one , I would buy some Maybelline products. Loreal is very good I bit more expensive but their face care line is very good. Everything Victoria said is very good makeup but also very expensive. The ones MG said are perfect for beginners as well as Noel. If you want expensive makeup I would start with MAC or Urban Decay.
