I don't understand Why my ends just keep snapping when I comb my hair. I got a trim twice and cut my split ends off. I use a heat protectant before applying heat. I use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. I use a hair mask every week. use a leave in conditioner so I just don't understand Why my ends keep snapping. I know my ends are dry so I moisturize all the time but I don't understand. Any suggestions?

Drinking water and having good diet also helps a lot. how often do you wash you hair? Try combing your hair when it's wet and brushing it when it's dry.

You have brittle hair. be as gentle as you can & use coconut oil a couple times a week.

Do you wrap your hair at night and deal your ends? I always moisturize my ends with JUST water and seal w a teeny bit of oil, I use coconut. I limit heat and keep my ends clipped regularly. Are you using any products with protein in them? Sometimes that can make our hair brittle and cause breakage as well.

Tonita is spot on. You might just be protein sensitive which results in brittle hair.

Coconut oil is a great great thing to do masks with and also to use as a leave in. I also find taken biotin helps strengthen my hair and I don't shed as much.

I have been using the aphogee 2 minute protein treatment every week follow by every time I wash my hair I use the aphogee green tea reconstructor spray. I'm not sure if that spray has protein in it...
I usually do wrap my hair and put a little oil on my ends.

That weekly protein treatment may be too much!! If it's the one I've used before, it's yellowish and dries as hard a a rock. Too much protein can actually cause breakage. Try cutting back to every other week. I only do it once a month and I find that effective!
