The only thing a dress violates are the the straps and you could just put something over it sooo I dunno why people are saying not to wear a dress on the first day? And why just the first day? Would they say it's a no no after a few weeks??

People say that because : on the first day you'll dress up so cutely and the rest off the year you'll most likely bum it out, they think the first day makes everyone have high expectations. I personally don't agree with this though.
