So after 2 1/5 years I will finally be getting my braces off! I'm super duper nervous because I have heard a lot of mixed reviews. Any tips/advice or maybe your experience?? 💕💕

Getting my braces off was probably the best thing to happen for me I've been so much more confident in myself without them! Congrats on getting them off!

I think the way it is is you have to wear a retainer afterwards(I don't know if that's true I didn't have braces) but if so my cousin using the ones that are clear and make it look like you're wearing nothing so I'd ask about that 😊

Yeh I had braces for 6 years and have to wear a reatainer till I'm 21. I would recommend that you wear it I didn't wear mine for 3 weeka as I forget it at home before going on hoilday and my teeth moved so much I had to have it jammed back on my teeth and had to wear it all day which was soo painful ans annoying :)

It wasn't that bag in my opinion, I felt a bit of pressure while they took off the back bracket ring things and when the front brackets were clipped off, but it wasn't painful or anything. Good luck!

I had braces for 4 years and getting them off wasn't that bad for me it hurt worse getting them on then it did removing them. You might feel a little pressure on your teeth at least I did but it wasn't bad at all. Good luck and I hope I helped you a little bit!

With the retainer it's different for most people for me I had my braces on for 3 years and I just have to wear the retainer at night now

Taking off braces is the best feeling. no pain whatsoever. feels so funky after hahah. and btw if you get a retainer, wear it as instructed:)

I got my braces off about a year and a half ago and had them on for 2 year. It wasn't that bad my teeth are very sensitive so when they were taking them off (which is a quick process) I felt some pain and when they also hurt while they were taking off the glue but it wasn't a pain I couldn't handle. When I first saw my teeth without my braces I was in shock and so happy that all that metal was out of my mouth. If you get the plastic retainer make sure you wear it because if you don't your teeth will shift and you will be stuck with braces again ( it happened to my friend). I got a permanent retainer which is glued behind my 6 front teeth and felt weird at first but now it feels like a second layer of skin for my teeth. If you are going to whiten your teeth make sure you wait a good 3-4 weeks cause your teeth might be sensitive and getting adjusted. That's all I can think of. Congrats!

I'm 12 years old and I got braces when I was 9 and I have pain and it will not be annoying but I getting them of in December and getting a reatainer. I think you be okay. Congrats.😊😀👏👍
