Don't get in the way of older students, let then past first in doorways and what-not. Nothing annoys me more than year 8s that push past me when I have an important lesson to get to.

Honestly, take freshman year like it's going to be your senior year. I did so bad in freshman year & I'm about to be a senior. What you do in the beginning will affect your ending. Idk if that made sense. But as time goes by, you will have less & less time to do everything you need to do. I'm so worried if ill graduate on time, meet all the requirements, get all my credits, etc. So make sure you do well! And stick to a small group. You will lose friends. A lot. I lost plenty & now I just stick to a group of 2-4. Good luck!!

There is so much to say, but in short, don't get caught up in pointless drama, don't sweat the small stuff, and do what makes you happy.
It's a cliched saying, but if you want to have a friend, you have to be a friend first. Get involved in your school, whether it's a sport, a club, the arts - whatever interests you. Even if other people think it's weird or dorky, you're more likely to find "your" people there. If you hear someone saying something mean, just remember it's a reflection of who they are, not of you. It comes from an ugly, jealous, unhappy, and malicious place. Happy and confident people don't feel the need to tear others down. The ones who deserve love the least are the ones who need it most, so kill them with kindness.
Do your best in all of your classes, but promise yourself to let go of whatever comes next. You only have so much to give, so if you know you've given it your all, there's no use worrying about the results.
In the words of Taylor Swift, "In your life you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team." Attention from guys can be great, but don't feel obligated to date someone just because they're there or say they like you. Remember that just because someone desires you does not mean that they value you, so hold out for the guy who is more interested in you as a person than what you can offer them.
And finally...You are not defined by what others think of you. You don't need their approval, acceptance, or validation to be happy, confident, and living your life to the fullest. Do whatever you need to do to be happy and screw what other people think. There are many ways to be happy, but living to impress others is a sure as hell not going to get you there!
