I want to make my own mascara! most of the thing I looked at said to use coconut oil, but that is one thing that I don't wanna use. I was thinking of mixed Vaseline and black eye shadow. because Vaseline is supposed to be good for your eyelashes and black eye shadow for color. I don't know, your recipes?

Vaseline is terrible for your eyelashes though. I wouldn't make a DIY mascara personally. Your eyes are such a sensitive area and mascara can be affordable so I wouldn't risk it. It is up to you though, however I would highly recommend not using Vaseline as it will seal bacteria in which is preventing your eyelashes from doing their job

Just use regular mascara.. You don't want to risk ruining your eyes. If you want to be creative maybe try making a lipgloss or lipstick instead.

Actually a DIY mascara is a great idea, a store bought mascara is actually very bad if you ever take the time to research the chemicals in it. One the other hand everyone is right Vaseline isn't a good choice and unfortunately for you a good DIY mascara very often has coconut oil I suggest just trying the coconut oil it's not costly and you can use it for many other things such as a hair mask, acne treatment or sunburn relief

There's some things are better left bought at the store. This would be one of them.

Don't use vaseline. I used to use it to moisturize my skin... Rubbed it on my eyelids. I had a huge eye infection and a swollen eye for almost 2
Months because of a
Clogged pore that kept growing!! Looked like a stye but with no head. Do not use Vaseline.
