I usually brush my hair dry or wet with a regular Goody brush. I've seen those wet brushes and tangle teezer brushes. I do get a lot of tangles on the ends of my hair and I want to prevent breakage when brushing my hair. What brushes do you recommend for wet hair and dry hair?

I love the body shop brushes. They're bamboo but they are so gentle on my hair. I use the wide tooth comb while my hair is wet and the paddle brush when it's dry/when I'm styling it.
I've tried the tangle teaser and the wet brush and I didn't notice much of a difference between my regular brushes. I have lots of super thick, messy tangly hair and I always have problems with brushes.

I hear it's not good to comb your hair when it's wet because it can rip more easily. But if you do always start from the bottom, if you start from the top it brings all the tangles to the bottom making it harder to comb out. I think if your hairs wet a soft bristled flat brush is great and dry, maybe the ones with bristles all around, I love those (:

Mari it's best to use a wide tooth comb and start at the bottom while your hair is wet. The brushes with tons of bristles will pull at knots while a wide tooth comb will just gently comb out the big knots rather than tackling all the little knots while your hair pulls and pulls. If that makes sense, it's almost midnight and I'm a bit tired lol.

Lol yeah I get you. But my hair is thin and short so when it's wet, wide tooth combs do nothing for me :/

I agree Mari, wide tooth combs don't really work for me. I have thick hair but I feel like it leaves my hair like it wasn't even brushed.
Thank you both for your opinions:)
I think I will definitely try starting to brush the bottle first. I think that's my problem :)

I use a wide tooth comb. I spray my hair with it's a ten and then brush which gets all the tangled out but if I don't then my hair feels terrible! Also there's this brush called "Wet brush" I think. It was something not so creative. :p I've heard good things but have never used one. I saw it on intagram maybe look into one!

For wet hair, I recommend the Denman 5-row brush. it doesn't tug on your hair and enhances natural curls:)

I have a sets helping comb from Avon that is amazing! It's affordable and is safe for wet an dry hair! It doesn't tug or hurt to get the tangles out! I don't really use it anymore since... Ya know... I have shirt hair now XD but when it was longer it was the only thing I used! Let me see if I can find a place you can get it!
