How many of you wear clip in extensions daily? And so, how many pieces; like a full set or just 1-2 wefts for length.
If not daily, how often do you wear your extensions?

I were a full set every day.

I used to wear a full set everyday, but make sure to wash your hair like normal and follow the care instructions for the clips,..wearing them took long in the same place can cause bald/thinning spots where the clips sit repeatedly.

I wear them on special occasions & when I want my hair to look more fuller & longer like when I curl my hair (:

Harlyn T , have you looked into tape in ones? They're very popular here but apparently also very high maintenance but it is a more permanent solution to clip ins.

I personally had a bad experience with microbeads. I find they don't have a natural movement like clip ins would, being that their a weft and almost like another layer of hair. Also found them very annoying and more pully than clip ins.
But it definitely does depend on your hair type when it comes to extensions.

I wore a full set (7 pieces) of clip ins every day last year for school and they caused my hair to get thinner. I wouldn't personally suggest wearing them everyday.

UGH YES.
I just got my hair to a length I loved and then a bunch of breakage occurred around my face and my hair is super short in the front =(
I've been either wearing my hair up or wearing *two full sets* of clip in extensions since my hair broke off. I really only need extensions in the front/around my face, but my extensions are a couple of inches longer than my natural hair, so I have to wear a full head in order for them to look natural- so annoyinggggg. I did buy tape in extensions that I am going to install this weekend and have cut to match the length of the rest of my hair (a little longer than shoulder length).
I wanted something a little more permanent/less high maintenance than daily clip-ins so I researched the following:
I looked into micro beads/micro loops and thought they were a great idea at first. After more in depth research, I found out that they were NOT good for hair that was prone to breakage, like mine, and decided against using these methods even though I REALLY wanted to ignore that fact.
I was also thinking of buying a wig (after summer) and then realized my hair was not as bad as I thought, so I decided against that as well (especially since human hair, lace front wigs or anything realistic is just so expensive).
I have been looking into 3/4 wigs and you-part wigs, but they seem expensive and the methods of attaching them (sewing it in or wig clips) just seems like way too much maintenance or hassle for me personally.
I finally decided I would like to try tape-ins after researching all of the other options I mentioned. Tape ins sound like the best option for hair prone to breakage-as long as their installed, maintained, and removed correctly (which I'm willing to put the work into). I also only need a few pieces to fill in the front of my hair, instead of a full head, so it won't be as much trouble, maintenance, or too expensive for me.
