Hey all. I love the look of slightly shiny skin and not too heavy of a foundation but I can never ever seem to get this look! I've tried a wet beauty blender (which I love) but it still doesn't give me that natural glow. My skin isn't even that dry, but the minute I apply makeup it stays oil free and matte. Any ideas?? Some might think I'm crazy but I really love the barely oily look haha.

Use green tea as a makeup setting spray. Mist some on after you do your makeup and it makes your skin look so youthful and healthy! I love it!

What I do is ONLY powder my Tzone and use high lighter. I do have oily skin but I HATE the look of matte. Lol. I just but foundations that aren't a matte finish but not dewy.

I already do use a spray, although not a green tea one which sounds really nice. Renay thats what I do too. Haha maybe I just need to find the absolute politest foundation I can find! 😜

What products are you doing to achieve the look?
Granted, you cannot achieve a perfectly dewy look so be a bit realistic, Miss Jacqueline has explained countless times that achieving a perfect dewy look is very complicated in a sense that it need to be constantly touched up.

Try to get more cream based blushes, and highlighters, and bronzers. Sometimes that helps but if not definitely try the whole misting every so often.

It depends on what products you use. I have dry skin and the best foundations I have used are Clinique Even Better and Makeup Forever HD for a dewy glow, but you don't have to have dry skin to use these. I lovveeee L'Oreal's Magic Lumi Primer. Look for Illuminating powders and foundations and I also love cream blushes too (L'Oreal, Nyx, and Elf Facial Whips and HD Blush, Maybelline Stick Blushes). I don't really like the Nyx Dewy Spray but a lot of people have good luck with it. My favorite highlighters are UD Naked Illuminating Face and Body Powder and Too Faced Candlelight Glow Duo. I also will sometimes use shimmery bronzers like Milani Baked Bronzer, Physcians Formula Sexy Glow, and Too Faced Endless Summer for a subtle glow which is great for the summer.

I really like L'Oreal true match lumi foundation it makes the perfect "dewy" look! I love the "dewy" look! I also use a cream blush to help achieve the look, and a cream highlighter. I do set them with a little bit of a coordinating powder blush and highlighter and I use the hourglass ambient lighting powder too (a small amount!) to finish the look I set it with the NYX dewy setting spray(you can also use Urban Decays chill-but the NYX one is just as good and a lot cheaper!) I almost forgot I also use an illuminating primer before I apply the lumi foundation. Sometimes I use the loreal youth code illuminating bb cream it has a nice dewy finish too. Stila has a good illuminating tinted moisturizer too. I've used it and liked it! Although most of the time tbh I don't wear foundation or bb cream or tinted moisturizer I have nice skin. I do still apply my illuminating primer though because it really does illuminate and look dewy! Hope that helps!:)

Awesome advice girls thank you!! Do you find that you constantly have to keep touching up all day like kitty mentioned'? Or do you get by just fine?

Once I get the dewy look, and since I have combo skin I tend to go even more oily throughout the day. my touch up involves powder in the tzone :) goodluck.

Bare skin by bare minerals leave a dewy beautiful finish and l'oreal true match lumi also use a primer such as lumi primer... And nyx has a dewy setting spray sometimes a mix a liquid highlight into my foundation not a lot less than a dime size to much will look bad hope this helps you

The Bareskin foundation probably leaves the dewiest finish out of the foundations I've tried (dewier than Nars Sheer Glow). I think it's a bit too dewy but it's easy to tone down certain areas with a light powder. I usually use the Loreal Lumi Primer and very lightly highlight the top of my cheekbones with The Balm's mary loumanizer or Benefit's Watts Up. Highlighting blushes like Miliani's Luminoso or Maybelline Master Highlighting Blushes also help with that natural glow (I don't usually use them in conjunction with an additional highlight).
