I just received the LM Artists Shadow Palette as an early Christmas gifts. It contains 12 beautiful colors, but the texture is very much not what I am used to. Does anyone have any tips on applying LM shadows? These are the same shadows from the permenant line that come in singles, mattes and shimmers. Please help, ladies!

I have a reasonable set of brushes, so I don't think that's the problem. As for what's under the shadow, I have used UDPP. Do you think I need to use something like NYX milk? Are these shadows better wet?
