So last night I did the headband curls, but it came out like beach waves. I don't know why.. Because on one side idly head the headband curls didn't even Work, on one side it looked great.
What are some other ways I can get this affect? Please don't say Two French braids, it's more like really loose curls.

I would shower and then braid it when it's wet but and then sleep on it or wear it throughout the day

Hace you tried multiple small braids all over your head, the smaller the braid, the tighter the waves. I separate my hair into two sections and do like 10 smallish braids on each side. You could do that and scrunch it afterwards.

I find that sleeping in a single high bun gives me larger loose waves. Maybe if you put your hair into many smaller buns it might give you tighter curls.
