OCC Lip Tar+Dry Lips

For the past few days I've been wearing OCC lip tars and noticed that after I remove them at night my lips are painfully dry and peeling. Before application my lips are well hydrated and flake free. Has anyone experienced this? Have any solutions to share....

I haven't worn OCC for extended time, but daily, it dried my lips like crazy. I exfoliate my lips first, and apply a hydrating lip balm or butter a little while before I apply lip tar.

Carefully remove the lip tar using a cleansing oil or baby oil. Hydrate after.

I always use a heavy duty lip balm before i wear it, take it off when i apply the lip tar, then sleep with the same balm at night. they do dry my lips, but i cant not wear them xD

Yes this dries my lips out too but I still love it always hydrate with a balm before during n after

I was on point with the exfoliating prior to application. I guess now I will need to apply my lip balm before using my tar. Last night I bathed my lips in olive oil to cancel out the pain and woke up this morning to happy lips. I will say this....I won't stop using these lippies bc thd shades are amazing! Thank you ladies for the advice. :)
