I feel that it depends entirely on what kind of a look you're going for. Cream shadows, in my experience, are best for sharper lines and edges, whereas powder is a bit harder to create sharper edges with, not that it's impossible to do so =)

I agree with Hannah. I prefer the consistency of powder though if that's what you mean.

Depends on which powder and which cream too, it's all personal preference in my opinion.

I find that powders are easier to work with and that you can build intensity. With creams I feel that they create very sharp edges and lines like Hannah said, but I feel that they can be super intense without much of a chance to go for a more subtle look. I overall prefer to use powder shadows because I feel they are easier to work with and for my very shaky hand (tremors :/) they minimize mistakes more than a cream does... So, I'd have to say that powders are better at least for me.

Powder definitely! I got the NYX : love in Paris, pallet and it's amazing, I have camo (dark) green eyes though.

Creme in hot sweaty conditions. Powder when you sweat looks nasty and feels sticky. Alternatively powder is best for winter because cold creme is clumpy ish and plus powder you can layer without being cakey.
All in all- get both!
I have both kinds and use them alternatively. Revlon has great creme pallets while wet n wild have great powder. (I'm not a high-end makeup doer)

I much prefer powder eyeshadows, as I find they stick better on the lid. You also use fix plus to intensify the look and sealants to make eyeliners. As for the creams I, just literally can't wear them , as australia is really humid and they slide.
