Well I personally never used it but my fried did an it gave her a really bad chemical burn. Idk if it was just her though... She doesn't have sensitive skin or anything.. Pretty normal.

If you get it see if you can start with lower doses and work your way up :)

I'm on retin a right now. I'm on.025% it has really helped with my acne scars and current acne. I love it! Definitely ask your doctor if it's right for you.

I have never experienced chemical burns. I'm on the lowest dosage. Your doctor will tell you that for the first 2 weeks your skin will be very dry, red, and will peel. But after your skin gets used to it it's not bad at all.

It's definitely something to talk to your doc about, keep in mind retin a is quite harsh and is photo sensitizing, meaning that you should always wear SPF, avoid excess sun exposure, certain treatments cannot be done ranging from exfoliating (unless manually very gentle) to microdermabrasion, laser even waxing because your skin will become quite dry. When used as a spot treatment, and at a low dose it is pretty harmless, but I would test patch it one one spot of your face before trying it all over. I have used retin a before and am also and aesthetician, it's best to weigh out the pros and cons with your doctor first!

I used.5 I never had acne. I only used it to clear dark spots && worked great!.. The first 3 months dries upp your skin like heck && peels krazzy. But after that. You get this flawless looking skin. I never was prescribed for it. I plan on using the.1 because I had stopped using after my pregnancy.

I used retin-a for a while and it dried my skin out so much and it didn't help my acne much whatsoever. I think if your skin isn't super sensitive it'll be okay but it definitely did not help me
