I use murad's face wash and toner. And I use boscia's daily hydration lotion with SPF 15 during the day. And for night I use ole henriksen's vitamin plus creme. But murad has a really good acne system with facewash, toner, lotion, and acne medicine. I love murad! But if over the counter acne products don't help, you might want to go see a dermatologist and get prescription acne creams and oral pills to take. That's the only thing that cleared up my acne! And I have very oily acne prone skin :/

In the morning I take a shower and wash my face with Philosophy Clear Days Ahead cleanser then moisturize using Tarte's Pure Maracuja Oil and the clear days ahead treatment lotion, if I'm going to wear makeup.
At night I take my makeup off using baby shampoo, mostly I use that to take off my eye makeup, but I do rub a little onto my face just to sort of start lifting the powder, foundation and concealer off so I don't have to use so much of my cleanser. Then I wash my face with the clear days cleanser again. A few days a week I exfoliate, either using a scrub or just using my usual cleanser with a silicone exfoliator pad from Sephora ($5). After washing I take a cotton pad with toner on it and rub it over my face to make sure I have all the makeup off. There's usually a few light traces left so I make sure its gone. Then I put on some Hope in a Jar moisturizer. I get home at 4 usually so its a while before I go to bed. But before I go to bed I put on a few drops of the maracuja oil again, usually more than what I put on in the morning, and then my clear days ahead spot treatment on any areas that need it. And that's it.
I love all my philosophy products, but I will say that I think its the maracuja oil that's really clearing my skin up. Since I started using it my skin has been so much better. I still have a few bumps here and there but the overall texture and appearance of my skin has improved. I would have never thought that using any kind of oil could make my acne better but it really has. I would look into a sample of one you think you might like. You can get all kinds at markets and stores that have organic stuff. I would try the maracuja though, whether its Tarte's or a small brand. I believe Tarte has a rollerball travel size of it for $17 versus $46 for a whole bottle. I'm sure its much cheaper if you don't get it from a big name brand though

I alternate between Neutrogena's toner (I forget exactly what it's called) and an apple cider vinegar toner. I exfoliate once a week with a baking soda paste. My face normally doesn't feel dry so I go really light on moisturizer - a pea-sized amount of coconut oil over my whole face. I was doing this for a while and then went back to Cetaphil for a day or two and my face totally broke out big time when I tried it - so big mistake there.

Ditto what Nicole H. said about diet! More avocados, cooking with coconut oil, drinkong water with lemon, and less processed sugar. Crappy processed foods spike cortisol production. The stimulation of the oil glands results in changes such as the clogging of the pores and increased secretion of pro-inflammatory fatty acids.

Oh and for those awful hormonal chin breakouts, learning about the dairy-acne connection really changed my skin up in like a month!
