I wanna go back to my old hair color, a bright neon red, but im worried all of my colorful eyeshadows will go unused... how would you pair bright colors with bright hair? or would you even try? id hate to see all of my sugarpill, pigments, and my vice palette go to waste..

I would use whatever color you want but use the shadow or pigments as a liner, just for a pop of color. Or do a neutral eye with a bit of whatever color blended into the crease or in the corner of the eye. That way you can still wear and enjoy all the products you have without feeling like you're overloading on color.

Oh wow I love that!! Totally reminds me of the Little Mermaid....the obsession continues even after age 6 for me lol. But that look is great if you want to rock it! I'd really just do whatever you want. Life is too short to not to. My suggestion was more for if you didn't want to have your hair and makeup competing. But something like that would look fabulous in my opinion :)

I love the add a pop of color to a neutral eye look, plus you could always do tons of monochromatic looks- like a totally deep garnet eye, a smokey purple, or a firey orange eye shadow look. Experiment until you find your groove. You could play with complimentary colors, the colors that are opposites on the color wheel- a deep green might make the red hair pop, but you don't need to make it look Christmas-y. Maybe an electric neon green would look awesome with a bright red. Blue-green and yellow-green are tertiary colors, so colors that sit next to the green across from the red, so that would look awesome. That's sort of what the makeup artist was going for in the above pic- which is very Little Mermaid! :D Or do whatever comes naturally- it will probably look the best if you love the makeup/e.s. look and you rock it with confidence. Breaking out a color wheel would also help too! <3

Yeah, color wheel, try out the complementary colors, warm/ cool contrasts all that stuff. Look up basic color theory on the web. Don't throw it out!

I have bright red hair and use colors all the time. I don't even own brown shadow. Lots of purples, pinks, blues and greens! Just dont wear a color that really clashes with your hair, so maybe skip the oranges.

When I had red hair I didn't have much troubles with colors clashing. I just find blue didn't work well.. But all the other colors are fine! =] maybe you'll be able to pull blue!

With my red hair, I didn't have any issues. I write all my bright eye shadows still. Even blues! Lol

I do it all the time. I even use burgundies and such. It's just about what you're comfortable with, and what you think clashes. Blues, greens, and purples go amazing with bright red hair.

I change from blonde to brown to black to highlighted etc, and I always wear my bold color shadows, I dont feel like me if I dont wear them, colored makeup flatters any hair color(:
