I want to get a cute but sturdy bag for college. I'm debating between a jansport and a canvas bag. I need a bag with thick sturdy straps and the bag can carry a lot. so should I go with Jan's port or a canvas bag?

I've had my Jansport for years and carried allllll my books in it. It's pretty durable.

I just carry around a big cute tote bag to my classes but then again I go to a creative college so we don't use many textbooks

Jansports are good though. I used those all throughout high school.

I used a Camelbak hiking backpack when I had heavy books because it had extra support (front straps) and was highly visible on my bike at night (reflector patches/threads in addition to being fluorescent aqua and orange). Having the water bladder inside on hot days was nice too, but totally optional.
When I don't have much to carry, I use a Targus computer backpack to carry my laptop. The bag is roomy, the straps are padded, and the fabric is extremely durable.

You guys are great. canvas bags are cute but their durability scares me. I don't like to carry things in my hands because I tend to misplace them so I need a bag that's cute, durable, and takes a lot
