For face brushes I use baby shampoo, careful not let water touch anything but the bristles. For eye brushes I dip them in rubbing alcohol.

I use just a gentle face wash or hand soap. I also use daily brush cleanser spray every once in a while.

I use diluted dettol after use and once a month I wash them with water and soap. I actually bought and washed all my brushes with The master brush cleaner and presever (on a recommendations from Jacqueline, thanks!) and it was amazing. Smells citrusy and amazing and it cleaned them deeply really quickly. oh and they were really soft after. Would definitely recommend. It was only 11 euro too and it will last you ages
