Any specific brands you've tried that worked?

I don't have oily skin so I wouldn't be able to recommend any specific products. Tons of people on BL use the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It's only $5ish so you could give it a try...

I also have oily skin when it's hot and I use Nivea mattifying cream and it works pretty well. I also use a face wash by neutrogena for oily skin. And as I don't wear face makeup I can't tell you about foundations or powders for oily skin sorry.

I have oily skin, and I use the Mac blot powder. It works pretty well!! You do have to touch up a couple of times a day though.

Use a good primer that is mattifying. I recommend the body shop instablur or something similar. After foundation (if you wear it) blot your face with a tissue to remove excess oil and use a powder! And just keep blotting throughout the day.

Face wash for oily skin, I like one called PH balance for oily and acne prone skin
Use moisturizer for oily skin, I like Cetaphil for oily and acne prone skin
Use a mattifying primer, foundation, powder, and setting spray. I like rimmel stay matte primer and powder, Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation, and NYX matte setting spray
Clean and clear has blotting sheets that are good
Make sure you Moisturize because if you don't your face will get oily

If your face is super oily just remember that oil cancels oil. So I suggest the oil cleansing method (with proper research). And don't wash your face more than twice a day because your body will just secrete more oil to compensate what it's already lost :)

If you're low on cash and need a great moisturizer with sunscreen in it (sunscreen is sooooo important) I would recommend aveeno's daily facial moisturizer with SPF 15, I have oily skin and it's amaazzziiiinnnngggg.
