I've seen girls run a q-tip over their waterline first then wait a couple secs and go in with the liner.

Honestly I think it just takes getting used to... I used to be like that with tightlining but now it doesn't even bother me..

It seems you have sensitive eyes. You can always line below the tight line (bottom lash line) or really as someone said above, it does take some getting used to.

Oh I see what you meant, my bad haha. I would recommend just not lining the tight line then.

I agree with guera... takes getting used to. I did it everyday for like 3 years a few years back and I can do it with my eyes closed now. that qtip trick sounds interesting though.

Now I'm intrigued... what's tight lining? lol

Tight lining is lining your waterline with any shade eyeliner :p usually black tho to make the lashes look fuller.
I just pull my lower lid down with one of my fingers & line it with an eyeliner, then do the same thing for the upper lid. put a finger on my lid near the lashes & pull to a flip up the lashes & expose the upper waterline. it definitely takes some getting used to. I wasn't able to tight line my upper lid for the longest time!

I do it exactly as Symone said. I run a qtip over it then quickly apply my pencil liner. I have super watery eyes so the qtip thing makes my makeup last longer.

Oh, I do that! I didn't know it had a name, lmao. Yeah, I just use a liquid eyeliner (Black Pearl by Almay) and fidgit the felt tip right through my lashes. Just dot by dot, they end up making a clean line, and I line it one last time right under my lashes to clean it up.

Also, one of my most valuable beauty tools is an old cleaned out mascara brush. I use it to separate my lashes right after "tight lining" so they don't clump together and mess up my mascara base, and I also use it right after my mascara to separate the lashes so there's no clumpy finish :) (always use before the eyeliner/mascara dries)

Wayne Goss does this putting eyeliner on an eyelash curler... it may work!
