So as I've said I recently did the big chop so I have no hair at all. But I was curious to know what maintenance I should still do if that makes sense. I'm obviously going to wash my scalp and everything but are there any other steps I should take? Thanks!

Mmm well tbh I'd use baby shampoo because 1. It grows hair faster and 2. It like improves it if that makes sense like it makes it fall less, smother and shinier.

Nothing makes your hair grow faster, rate of growth is determined by genetics.

Healthy hair starts from within. A balanced diet with well-rounded nutrition is a big step to having healthy hair. Drink plenty of water as well. Use gentle hair products free of sulfates, and avoid heat and tightly pulled styles to prevent breakage. I don't have any tips specific to textured hair (mine is fine and pin straight to a fault), so I'll let others chime in on that front.

If you don't use heat or dye/bleach and if you will use hair oils your hair WILL grow faster. I don't agree that genetics play a big part because you can have naturally the thickest, shiniest hair ever but if you won't take care of it, will use heat then it will be dry and not so pretty. so its all about taking care of hair.

I should clarify my original statement. The maximum rate of growth is determined solely by genetics, however many things can cause hair to grow more slowly (e.g. malnutrition, severe illness, heat damage, follicle damage from tight styles, chemical damage from dyes or other processes). Repairing these bad habits can cause hair to grow more quickly, but nothing will increase the rate of growth at it's absolute healthiest.
