You should paint your nails with nail envvy by opi in order to stregnthen them and them, however it takes 22 days to lose a habbit if biting your nails, therefore in that time they have like nail biting pot where you dip your finger in and its like a wet sponge, it distributes a horrible taste onto your nails and when you go to bite iT, it dosnt taste nice you can get it from boots pr siperdrug in the uk x

I've been biting mine for 13 years and finally stopped after I started wearing fake nails , always on = no biting . But they do grow brittle , mine are almost as long as my fake nails & I don't have the urge to bite them anymore !

my best friend used to be HORRIBLE with nail biting. Fake nails would just look like too much on here, so she gets gel manicures. It doesn't really matter if its gel or a regular manicure, she cannot bring herself to pick at or bite her nails if she paid someone else to do them hahaha. She is excellent at doing nails, but she can never do her own nails because she will just chew on them. She was so bad before, she used to LIKE the taste of all the anti-nail biting products! I would just splurge on gel manicures or fake nails if you're into it and that way it is super disappointing if you ruin them..

I JUST kicked this habit. Try splurging on some nail polish and do cute nails, every single day. Switch it up. Carry around a stress ballot chew gum.

I stopped by giving my hands something to do and carrying around a nail file. If I don't have my file with me and my nail starts peeling I'll end up biting it off, and even if it's been months since I bit then I'll be back at the start and have to stop all over again

My friend was sooo bad at biting her nails so this summer she started soaking her fingers in drinks she doesn't care for like: tomato juice, lemon juice etc. she has been nail bitting sober since August!:)

My friend wears a thread bracelet with a long string and chewed on that instead and then after a month they no longer had a nail biting habit. I don't know why.. But it worked for them, maybe it will for you haha

I stop biting my nails after I started doing my own acrylic nails. It took a lot of work, especially for a novice, but kept my hands occupied.

I started getting gel polish (shellac) done on my nails. I did this for like 3 months straight. The gel polish makes your nails so hard you can't possibly bite or pick at them. Did the trick for me and I had been biting my nails for like 15 years!

Hmm, I remember when I had this problem. Don't remember how I put an end to it, but in any case, the bitter nail polish stuff didn't really work for me since I always ended up scraping it off. This is probably a suggestion that nobody would take seriously, but if you have something gross (like boogers) either under or on your fingernails, I bet you'd stop biting your nails. Unless you like the taste of boogers... O.o

try getting "Stop Biting by Orly" I also have a terrible nail biting problem, I've been biting ever since I could remember. I didn't want to get acrylics or anything because I would bite those off as well. I absolutely looooove the stuff from Orly when ever I try and bite it tastes really bad, and if you bite the taste stays in your mouth its nastyyyy, but it stopped me from biting. good luck!
