I have very thick, rough, dry, wavy, blonde hair. I do not like my thick hair and I wish it was thinner and softer (please do not comment things like "you should be happy with thick hair", because I personally just don't like it). When I straighten my hair it is still dry and becomes SO poofy! I am currently using Herbal Essences "Touch Me Softly" Shampoo and Conditioner. I love the smell, but that's pretty much it. I really need new Shampoo and Conditioner or any other hair products/treatments. I am currently researching about the "Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Hair Products". Are they good? Pros and Cons? Can you please suggest me anything else?
THANK YOU! <3
ALSO: What do you think about getting hair thinned? (like the cut)

Make sure both your shampoo and conditioner are specially made for thick and dry hair. I would suggest Pantene products if you are looking for a drugstore brand, as they really make your hair silky. If you want something of salon quality, try JOICO.
Secondly, After you wash your hair you definitely should apply a hair oil. I prefer to use Moroccan Oil, but there are many types available. These will soften your hair and help it from being too poofy.
Lastly, what is your haircut like? You can go to your hair stylist and ask for them to put long layers in your hair and also to thin it out. They will use thinning sheers to take away some of the volume.
**Also try blow-drying your hair flat with a paddle brush and not a round brush of any sort. When you sleep at night, either pull your hair into a tight ballerina bun (use a scrunchy to hold it) or do two loose pigtail braids.

Japanese Hair Straightening treatment. It's pricey and you may have to get it done 2-3 times a year. My friend gets it done and her hair stays thin looking and stick straight, and very smooth. She naturally has wavy, thick, course hair.
