Well I suck at nails but I want to improve! Is there any simple styles or tools for beginners?

Polka dots, flowers, leopard, adding one accent nail. Those are all simple designs. As far as tools a Dotting tool is great for making designs, if you don't have one try using the bottom of a bobby pin, or a pencil. Take a look at cutepolish on YouTube she has some great easy tutorials or look on Pinterest for inspiration (:
