Hey girls, the title says it all. I have heard so many theories on when to brush your hair. I used to do it after I toweldried it for a few minutes, but I hear it's bad for your hair and leaves you with split ends. so when do you brush your hair. if I leave it to dry, I get this birdsnest on the top of my head.. I used leave-in conditioner but it make my hair oily and I end up whashing it every day.. help please!!

You use a wide tooth comb when it's wet and leave in conditioner, brushes do break off hair when the hair is wet ,or you can get something called the wet brush, it's made for use on wet hair

Personally I use a wide tooth comb when it is wet, and a paddle brush when it dries :) a brush will damage your hair if you brush it when wet, and that's why I recommend combing it out :)

Is the tangleteezer also like a wetbrush? Does anybody know? Its much more gentle and at all salons I have been too they use it on wet hair.

I have the tangle teezer and I love it but it still takes some hairs when using it on wet hair. I prefer it on dry hair.

I brush my hair when it's wet using a wet brush. You can find it at Ross for $3.99. For my hair type ( Curly ethnic hair ) I was told to de tangle it while damp.

I pretty much have to brush my hair when it's wet. But that's the only time I brush it. My hairs wavy/curly/frizzyish so if I waited to brush my hair when it was dry I'd do wayyyy more damage lol.

I personally just brush my hair with a wide tooth comb when I get out the shower and that's it lol I rarely need an actually brush.

Wet/damp hair + hair that's even remotely dry = tangle/ split central when you brush. Defiantly use a wide tooth comb. :D.
