#1: How do you pick the right foundation color for skin? I always have a lot of trouble picking the right foundation color. Where are you supposed to test it on? I've heard that you're supposed to test it on your wrist but then other people have said to test it on your neck.
#2 I need a new foundation! I am looking for a drugstore medium coverage foundation to help with redness and dry patches. Even though I have dry patches, I have oily skin :/ (Along with acne-prone skin)
Thanks in advance and sorry for this being so long!

I match it to my neck. I would suggest the Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation. I'm currently using it and it's medium coverage (and buildable to high coverage) and I have combination skin that has some redness to it as well :)

Match it to your neck but also look at the veins on your wrist to find your skin tone. So if you have green veins you have a warm skin tone, if you have purple veins you have a cool skin tone, and if your veins are blue you have a neutral skin tone. :) If you have a neutral skin tone you'll notice that a lot of foundation colors match you. And a foundation recommendation...Loreal True Match! I have combonation skin/normal skin and I LOVE it. Its almost guaranteed you'll find your exact color. The coverage is great, it covers up my redness and blemishes. My favorite part about it is its natural and flawless look it grants you. It never looks cakey! And it has personally not broken me out and I usually have sensitive skin when it comes to makeup. I use it everyday as well and I havent had any issues with it. Its around 8 dollars as well so its very affordable.

I have tried so many drugstore foundations. My skin is super oily and acne prone with some dry patches now. None have really worked for me except I have come to really love the l'Oreal tru blend! I think it's underrated. Right now I'm between colors so I'm mixing it with the Covergirl 3 in 1 and it literally covers everything.
