Has anyone tried the new gel polish that does not need a light and can be taken off with nail polish remover?

I saw a bottle of gel nail polish at the store and was wondering if it worked.

I got the Sally hansen gel polish one that comes with the clear gel top coat and the color set from last months ipsy. I haven't had my nails done in a salon so I couldn't compare if it's the same quality.
Anyways, I'm not that impressed with it. It lasted me three to four days before chipping. Considering it can last up to 14 days, it was a miss for me personally. I also have tried regular polish and used the gel top coat and it lasted the same amount of days...
I have tried it on my toenails too, and there it lasts about a week.
So in short, it's a bit gimmicky. I have other polishes that aren't "gel" that have lasted longer.

I love the Sally Hansen personally. I'm a nurse and regular polishes would last one -two days but the Sally Hansen lasts 5-6. That's huge for me. It really sucked to do my nails really cute and for them to not make it through a 12 hr shift! I have 5 colors already.

Totally agree with LaShanna. I am a nurse as well and my polish usually chips and wears within a day due to constant handwashing. The Sally Hansen product held up for a solid week with no chips.

I have! They don't last as long and I find the peel of... But they are nice for a high shine look for one night or two!

I notice a HUGE difference, when using UV light my polish lasts up to 2-3weeks and without UV within the matter of days it starts to chip... I always use my UV light when applying gel colour, always get best results... 😊

I tried the Sally Hansen one when it first came out (2012) and it was terrible. I was on an archaeology dig at the time, and the polish didn't make it through a single day before it cracked and started to flake off. I understand that the work I was doing is extremely difficult on nails, but this was just appallingly bad. I tried it again when I was home, and same results. I washed dishes and the polish cracked.
I'll stick with regular polish that doesn't cost a small fortune. I'd rather do touchups with a $1 polish than completely redo my nails every couple of days with a $12 bottle (that's how much it was at the time, I have no idea what it costs now).
