I have recently discussed the perfect solution when I have oily hair:flour! its better than baby powder since that contains mineral oil &the smell. well flour absorbs it great. I actually discovered it on accident when my bangs were oily and my friend was like "hey! flour!" &it really works👌
I'm wondering has anyone else tried it?

Why don't you make a cake and add some eggs to your hair too 😉

I haven't tried it, I'd imagine it would make a cakey substance on my head.. I just use dry shampoo.

Great for a quick fix but not good for constant use. Since flour doesn't contain talc...the main ingredient in dry shampoos that assist in absorbing oil...all that flour is going to do is eventually clump up and that's not good for your hair and especially not good for the scalp.

Ahh, this is so helpful! It seems like I always run out of dry shampoo at the times that I really need it, so I'll have to remember this. Thanks so much for sharing.

Definitely prefer cornstarch, it is less clumpy than flour. But yes, baking supplies + a spritz of perfume and you're set. I don't even bother wasting money on dry shampoo anymore.

Cornstarch is probably a better idea, being that some people use it for baby's bottoms instead of baby powder, if it's sensitive enough for a baby's butt it should be for your hair

I'm with Emily. I've used cornstarch in a pinch and it worked great and actually made my hair feel nice.
