I had my hair done on Saturday and don't get me wrong it's not awful but it's not what I wanted- when I asked her to take more of the front/ my fringe she said no as it wouldn't look right etc- should I call the salon etc? X.

If you're not satisfied then you're well within your rights to complain.
However did you hairdresser explain why it wouldn't look right or did she just say no. I've had my hairdresser say things wouldn't suit me and explained why and I seriously trust him with my hair so I wouldn't personally complain about it in those circumstances.

She just said it wouldn't look right- she's new at the salon and not who I usually have so I struggled to explain to her due to the language barrier also x

I should call the salon, its their advice but if you are not happy with it then they should fix it. Its only a 5 minute job so they deff should be okey with that :)

Thanks guys :) is it rude to say I'd prefer to go back to my normal stylist? I don't want her to be offended x

Next time you call/when you call, just ask for your normal stylist when setting up an appointment. It won't seem rude at all, unless you specifically say you don't want this other person.

I would never, ever visit a salon that refused to cut my bangs to my tastes. You simply cannot have language barriers in a salon where desires and dreams regarding your body cannot be fully related...and registered. It is as frustrating and unfair to the stylist as it is to you as a customer. They need to know their clientele to best serve them. If your personal language is in not common in the salon then as the customer, it is the service providers duty to best understand you..many then say, Yes..I understand and can do this." or "I'm sorry. I can't fully understand and provide a cut/color...whatever." This is an artistic field and so it is already difficult to interpret for stylists. So frustrating. I'd get a new salon. Very unprofessional. I wouldn't even return to let them touch my bangs. Good luck!

Going back to the salon today however they've given me the same stylist! I've taken pictures of how I want it though so hopefully it will be right this time!
