I also really want to try a stippling brush, for applying foundation - should I get the flat top powder brush, or the studio stipple brush? They both have good reviews and I don't know what one to have!
Last one - I'm looking to buy a few new blushes as I have an extremely small collection, and I really like elfs colour range. What elf blushes would you recommend for a 17 year old with cool, fair skin and slightly rosy cheeks?
Any help is appreciated! :)

The flat top powder brush is one of my favorite brushes. It's amazing for applying foundation. I found that the studio line face brushes are 20 times more soft than the essential line ones, so make sure you stick with the studio line as far as face brushes go. The elf (studio) blush brush is great too.

I wouldn't recommend the elf stippling brush. I have it. I tried if once, maybe even twice, but never again. The white bristles are far too long so when you try to use the black bristles to buff the foundation in the white bristles drag across your face and make you look streaky.
I love the flat top powder brush, though! I always use it to apply my foundation. It is amazing! ❤

I love their Kabuki brush from the studio line.

If your looking for a good stippling brush the best one in my opinion is the real techniques one. It's about $10 but worth the money. The other elf face brushes from the studio line are pretty good. I like the blush brush a lot.

The blushes are amazing & I agree, Real Techniques makes the best brushes! I got the blush brush & it is seriously the softest thing ever! Such an amazing deal for only $9

I'd love to get some Real Techniques brushes, but I can only get cheaper alternatives right now :/

I love the elf blush brush, it's really soft and applies the blush really well. I have one of the studio blushes and really like it as well! It does have shimmer (bordering on glitter) so you've gotta be lighthanded, but the color payoff is good

I actually have to disagree I have the blush brush and really dislike it - the head is too small but I LOVE the powder brush for liquid foundation! Granted be warned of the quality - mine broke about a month after I got it

If I were you I'd agree with Sarah A and save up for one quality brush overall. I just got the shiseido foundation brush for Xmas and its really worth the wait :)
