Use a makeup bag! Nobody will know. I was the same way for a year or so, but then you realize its life and are comfortable with not needing to hide it, but I still use the makeup bag.

I have a compartment in my purse that zips, so I just keep them in that. If you don't have that option though, I definitely agree with getting a makeup bag or something. Definitely don't worry too much about it though, it's completely natural and nothing to be ashamed of.

I don't even like bras on my boobs. Why would I want pad packaging on them?! Hahahaha.

I used to be so embarrassed about carrying pads and tampons with me in school. But hey, you need to. After a while, it's no big deal. If someone sees a pad in your purse, they can't really be disgusted or anything, they use them too! So what!?!

In high school, when it was cold weather, I used to shove a tampon up my long sleeve shirt and then go to the bathroom so no one knew haha.

hey hun I would buy a little make up bag....but let me give you a tip when you are just starting to get your period sometimes I can be out of wack what I mean by that is that since you are just getting your period you be not be able to know when you are going to get your since you dnt know your body so well yet and your peri9d is not going to at same time as the month before so dnt just carry pads/tampons with only when you have it have some with just in case:)

I have an A cup, hahaha, a pad in my bra would stick out a bit. And Andrea, I'm not hiding them from my mom. I don't want all my guy friends to bug me about it. I think I'll definitely use a makeup bag. Thanks girls!

Welcome to the horrid girl world haha :/. Im one of the few people who has gotten mine at 10 it blows. Its not the end of the world either. I always kept mine in a little make up bag or a case. Youll get used to it naturally its just one of the few things you have to dislike. since you have just started it may take a while for you to devolop cramps headache etc some people dont have any symtoms at all. It is common for you when you first start to notice a irregular menstual cycle it may last for up to seven days if you happen to go over that speak with a doctor. or with A irregular menstrual cycle you might notice your period Coming back every 2 weeks or so and going random your body is just getting used to it a will adjust to that.

Sorry to hear about the start of about 45 years of the least fun time of the month ever. When I was in middle school I think I used to keep them in my pencil case, but in high school I'd just throw them in my bag when I left the house. I know it's a little awkward now, but it's something that every girl has to go through, and all guys have to learn to deal with it. Plus it's a fun way to shut them up or make them feel awkward! Guys need to learn that if they go through girls bags, they're bound to find things they don't want to see! As for tampons vs pads, I hate using pads (they make me feel like I'm wearing a diaper). I started using tampons freshman year of high school because we had swim class and only got 3 days of not swimming due to period, so I really had no choice. It never really hurt me, if you're trying them for the first time go for the ultra-lite tampons (they're smaller and less absorbent, but you probably don't need a ton of absorbency at this point). I find them a whole lot easier to deal with and more comfortable.
Also, as some people mentioned, it's probably gonna be pretty irregular for a while. Mine kept being irregular until senior year of high school when I went on birth control, then it evened out finally. Midol works wonders for the cramps, headaches, bloating, etc., and you'll learn to read the signs your body is giving you about when it's coming.
Good luck with all of this! I know it's awkward at this point, but it becomes just second nature, and eventually you don't even mind talking about it. It's just one of those things you need to get used to.

During my "time" I wear boots an I know it's silly but I just stuff it in my boot under my jeans and no one notices or I stick it in the waistband of yoga pants, and I don't keep it in my backpack cuz what are you gonna do? Pull it out in the middle of class lol, so just wear boots or pants that you can stick it in the waistband too
