Hello Beauties, thought we would have a friendly conversation about aspiring makeup artist as well as Makeup artist that we have seen in the internet world. We see great work from so many the picture's are overwhelming but do we really know who did the makeup look? as you tour the net and google a look you come across numerous repeated picture's of a look all linked to people who take them and claim them or people who like the look and share them with the masses but never can truly find who actually achieved the look unless you do a mass search.Well lets get familiar; let's share artist and their work,if you know any great one's out there feel free to share.I think this will also help with the confusion of people liking a picture here on Beautylish to only find out they are not the actual artist who shared the picture. For example here is a picture by Sandra Holmbom she's great but you probably seen her picture's every where even on the picture feed here on Beautylish collecting likes but no credit to her and her work.I'll mention more but would like all of you to join in and share.:)

I've seen all of the pics but no I don't know any names of these or any other artists but I do love the beauty & skill they put into their work. I can't even put my eyeliner on straight so I am always in awe of the work I see here & other places

I agree with this... there are way too many people claiming others work on here, and its beyond ridiculous. Give the MUA credit where it's due instead of trying to pass looks off as your own.

Those are stunning! I hate to think of people taking credit for these, the original artist deserves all the credit!

I think ppl recreate looks but most have no knowledge, or don't care, of the one who acually did the look in the first place and don't bother to give any credit. I can imagine how frustrating it must be for the artist. Buut to be honest its so hard to even know without a sh*tload of research, in guessing some girls just wnt to recreate and post but if you took all that time to create tht masterpiece might as well give the appropriate credit.

I love looking at makeup art like this. To be honest, it helps me understand the contours of they eye better, translating into better everyday makeup ^.^...Thanks for sharing Alma, I know I've seen that first pic pop up in the pictures and it ran through my FB news feed nameless the other day , I completely agree its a shame people do not give credit where it is due. It is art the comes from the artists soul

This is why my MUA daughter refuses to post her work online. She hears of the horror stories of people stealing work and claiming it as their own. She is slowly building up her portfolio and feels at ease working with photogs who are just as protective with their work as well. Its pretty sad that people feel the need to steal another artists work. :(
