What is primer actually used for?
I've seen it used on tutorials and in make-up stores but I've never really known what it's purpose is!
Would anyone recommend it?

It could be used to make your foundation stay on longer or to minimize your pores. Depends on the type you buy.

Thank you both! Wow, that sounds really good because I've found recently that my makeup keeps wearing off throughout the day and it leaves me quite blotchy so I have to top it up during the day which I really don't have time for with school and stuff.. Thankyou!:)

They're 100 % right! if you use an eye primer use urban decay! it's been my holy grail for almost 3 years now.

Primer is not just all the things the girls have said above, but it's also acts as a barrier between your skin and you face makeup. Cause if you just directly outing your foundation and other products on, your kind of allowing all your face makeup to penetrate your skin and pores and really cause a dirty mess.
