Belly piercing help

Hey everyone!

I've been contemplating for ages on whether to get a belly piercing or not.. I've had some mixed reviews on it such as it's either tacky or pretty.

What do you girlie's think?

I personally never liked them and found them tacky, but then again, a lot of people thing double/triple ear piercings (I have double) are tacky, so it's really all about YOUR personal taste. Just make sure you've read reviews on the place you're going to and be sure to clean it nonstop. It must hurt if it gets infected...ouch.

I think they're cute, not tacky at all. there will always be someone who doesn't have the same taste as you, so really it's all about what you like. doesn't matter if it's not someone else's cup of tea. it's not going on their body :)

I think they are cute but you should always consider the pain it's going to cause. They get infected easily but are overall very cute. If you are in school or have sports activists that are only half the year I would suggest getting the belly button pierced on the season it's not on.

I think there nice but two of my friends ripped there's out by accident! One got it caught on a towel and the other ones dog jumped up and caught with there paw! Both are left with scars now! So think twice before you do it :)

Make sure you're pretty much grown before you do it. I know some people who got it done young (12 or so) and they kept growing so the piercing got really weird! 16 or 17 would be a good age :)

I have both bottom and top of mine done and I love them, they're not any hassle once they're healed and nobody knows they're there unless you show them lol.

I have mine done got it done when I was 16 I'm 29 now and from my experience I can't even wear the belly ring anymore it just gets super irritated no matter the type of ring I have in guess its just my body rejecting it now I mean I've had it out for years now seems like it never closes up the hole is definitely still there.

I like them but when I got mine I messed with it before it healed n it started to migrate out - so now I have a nasty scar where it used to be - so if you get it just know it's a lot of maintenance and if you touch it before it heals it can migrate or get infected and will leave an ugly scar that nothing can really fix other than surgery - so really think hard about the consequences if you aren't able to care for it properly.

Also if you have fat on your tummy it's virtually painless I didn't even feel it when I got it done because I'm flabby :P.
